Yeah, that works as well! I don't have many competitive 'mons, but I do have a whole lot of random, Apriball ones! So I generally do the Egg Moves first haha. (You must be lucky with Surprise Trades. I generally get rubbish).

Personally I like breeding because I enjoy the challenge of it and I'm a perfectionist. Using Bottle Caps and Mints is just the easy way out I feel, and the only way I use them is for Legendary Pokémon because I can't breed them. I feel like BP are better for purchasing items you may need for...

^ Agree. Johto is my favorite region as well. I love how HeartGold and SoulSilver updated the graphics of the various cities in Johto to reflect how diverse and different the cities and towns were.

Captain! Sign me up! Nothing beats relaxing on a cruise ship....especially one as luxurious as the S.S. Anne. I know you don't want too many mascots, but I'd recommend either Machop or Machoke! They are needed to do all the heavy lifting around the ship.
