Hi! I'm Rex, and I'm probably one of the longest lasting members of the Marriland Forums. I originally made my account on October 4th, 2009. Back then I spent most of my time posting in the Spriting HQ. Ask me anything about my experience with the Marriland Forums, my lifelong love of all things Pokémon, my personal life, or anything else you can think of.

Your name seems familiar. So the story of my first sprite: a friend of mine offered my friend and I something like $500 to the first person to show him a "Snubblax." Me, being a smartass who wanted the money decided to figure out how to make this:

He never paid up.

My proudest sprite? Unfortunately, most of my sprites have been lost to time. My favorite genre of sprite to make were Chao. Basically a fusion of a pokemon with a Chao sprite from a Sonic game, don't remember which. Here's a couple I managed to find:

1. Probably Tropius. It's one of my favorites, but it could really use a boost to its viability.
2. Definitely Megas.
3. I've basically reinvented myself in quarantine. I'm starting to get into art and fashion, as well as building my twitch stream.

Trying to be a creator but I'm only just getting started. I haven't really found my style yet but I know I want to draw.

1. I was already a fan of Marriland on Youtube. I joined after I saw his Wifi Battle vs Untouchable and came to the forums because I wanted to learn about how to be better at Pokemon battles so I could school my older brother.

2. I had no idea I'd still be here after all this time. I knew Pokemon was always going to be in my life, but I didn't know I'd fall in love with this community.

3. Pre-Curse, this place was my home. I legitimately spent hours on this site every day, working on new forum projects, spritework, hanging out in clubs and playing forum games. It's sad to say but I don't know if this place will ever have the magic it did back then.

4. Liepard. Stupid cat. I did a monodark run of White and he was the worst team member I ever had.

5. Dark. In a real fight, you need to play dirty.
