Welcome to the Marriland Forums!
Greetings, one and all! We're so glad to have you join us. This is the place where, if you'd like, you can create a new thread of your own to tell the community something about yourself! We want to get to know you, so don't be shy. Please do keep in mind, though, that this forum is meant for meeting and greeting other members of the community. It's not the place to seek/request Friend Codes, trades, advice, or things of that nature. We have other forums for those! Otherwise, just don't forget to follow the Official Marriland Rules, and you'll be fine. Thank you, and enjoy your stay!
Feeling a little out of place or confused? Don't worry about it! The Marriland Information Database (often abbreviated MID) is a great place to start; it has loads of helpful links and resources to help new members familiarize themselves with the site. Ready to dive further into the community? The General Chat forums (both Pokémon and non-Pokémon) and the Clubs are open to all! Finally, if there's ever anything we can help you with, please don't hesitate to message a member of our staff team! See you around the forums!
Welcoming New Members
First of all, we really appreciate you taking the time to greet our new members. It's because of you that we're able to create the welcoming environment we all cherish so much. That said, we ask you to bear in mind that generalized, copy-pasted greeting messages are not encouraged. This is something that comes up from time to time, and while the practice is certainly well-intentioned, it's even better if you can take a bit of time to create a personalized message for everyone you greet based on their own introduction threads: it shows how much you care. Remember that there's a real person behind each introduction, and it'll make their day to see that you're genuinely interested and happy to meet them! Once again, thank you for your investment into this forum; it goes a long way towards making sure every member feels comfortable and safe here.
