Hello. I have decided to take a break from my Wonderlocke, thanks to the Furfrou Couple on Route 6. They kind of owned me hard. I may or may not continue it. Also, I may or may not start over and remove the fainting = darth rule. In the meantime, here is a Character Adventure. Here are the rules:
The One Main Rule
1: I can only use the Pokémon that Ash Ketchum caught in the Kanto Saga of the anime:
Pikachu (Starter)
Caterpie --) Metapod --) Butterfree (Viridian Forest)
Pidgeotto --) Pidgeot (Route 5)
Bulbasaur (Cerulean City [Gift])
Charmander --) Charmeleon --) Charizard (Route 24 [Gift])
Squirtle (Vermillion City [Gift])
Krabby --) Kingler (Route 12)
Primeape (Routes 3 and 4)
Muk (Power Plant)
Tauros (Route 15)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mercy Rule: on Routes 3 and 4, I discovered that Primeape has a 20% Spawn chance in these two areas. I have thus decided to simply go for Mankey. If the RNG is with me and Primeape does spawn, I will catch it and replace Mankey.

Team Rule: The Starters (Pikachu included) must always be in the party. There is one exception: Squirtle may be swapped out for Krabby when I get it. Don't want two water types on my team.

Gym Rule: I must use the same number of Pokémon as each Gym Leader:
Brock and Misty: 2
Surge and Erika: 3
Koga, Sabrina, Blaine, and Giovanni: 4
The League: 6

Item Rule: No using Revives or healing items in battle. I can only use them outside of battle.

I’ll post once each Gym Leader has been beaten as well as before and after the league.

One thing I forgot to mention: When going up against the Gym Leader, I may box Pikachu and/or the starters (depending on the leader) for the battle. This can only happen when I am right in front of the Gym Leader. I may also box them for EXP farming. Anyway, here is Update 1 - Brock:

Update 1: Brock
Butterfree took care of business with Gust, taking down Geodude. Onix then comes out and almost took out Butterfree. I switched to Pikachu who double kicked it into submission. Overall, this was not a challenging fight. If this was Pokémon Yellow, then I would have had a tougher battle on my hands.

Pikachu / Level 14 / Rash Nature (+Special Attack, -Special Defense)
Moves: Thunder Shock, Double Kick, Quick Attack, Double Team
Stats
HP: 47
Attack: 22
Defense: 26
Special Attack: 35
Special Defense: 25
Speed: 48

Butterfree / Level 11 / Jolly Nature (+Speed, -Special Attack)
Moves: Tackle, Gust, String Shot, Harden
Stats
HP: 44
Attack: 16
Defense: 23
Special Attack: 30
Special Defense: 25
Speed: 35

Update 2: Misty
Lead with Bulbasaur. He used Vine Whip to do about a quarter of Psyduck’s HP. It then lands a Confusion attack that does more than half damage. I swapped out to Pikachu who knocked it with Zippy Zap. Starmie, while putting up more of a fight, goes down. This battle was easy though Bulbasaur did take a heavy hit.

Update 3: Surge
Lead with Mankey. Voltorb goes down to a single dig attack, though it was faster. Magnemite stood no chance at all. Raichu finishes Mankey off. I switched to Bulbasaur. I unleashed a Poison Powder/Leech Seed combo. It was so good, the Raichu fainted. Bulbasaur never attacked once; did attempt to use Razor Leaf, but missed.

Author's Notes: In looking at the team, you will notice that Butterfree is no longer there. Well, I decided to retire it. I really wasn't using it much at all.
When I got Pidgeotto and Squirtle, I stopped using it. It's only really good early game (which I consider to be the first two Gyms. Surge Erika, Koga, and Sabrina are middle game in my eyes, while Bline onwards is endgame).

Also, How did I get my Pokemon to be of equal levels? As I have said when I made the first Gym update, I am allowing the boxing of all Pokemon for training. The "Starters and Pikachu must always be in the party" rule only applies when I am not training.

I think it's quite fitting that Butterfree is no longer on your team when you remember Ash releasing it eventually in the anime :p

Yeah. I realized that after I sent off to Oak’s lab.

Author's Note 2: I changed Pidgeotto to Pidgeot and Mankey to Primeape since they evolved before the gym.

Update 5: Koga

Author's Note: Pidgeot was removed in favor of Tauros. I had a VERY bad weakness to Electric types (2 Flying types and a Water type). At least with Charizard I can use the resistance to Fighting. It also balances my team a bit.

As for Squirtle, I have not been using it since I got Kingler.

Update 6: Sabrina
I lead with Kingler hoping to sweep with X-Scissor, but because Mr. Mime was didn’t go down in one hit, it managed to set Reflect to half damage from physical attacks. It used Psychic, doing a lot of damage to Kingler, forcing me to switch out to Pikachu who finished it off. For Jynx, it goes down to a Flamethrower from Charizard. Slowbro is shocked into submission by Pikachu. Alakazam goes down thanks to the combined effort of Tauros and Pikachu.

Kingler takes out Magmar, but ends up getting burned, which poses a problem. Arcanine brings Kingler down to red. Kingler manages to land a hit before going down to the burn. Primeape finishes the big dog with Dig. Rapidash, after getting hit by dig, takes itself out thanks to the recoil of Flare Blitz. For Ninetales, Primeape smacks it with Dig, but goes down. Giovanni: Kingler easily beats the first 3, though I misclicked Brick Break on Rhydon. Kingler did not faint until Nidoqueen. After bringing it down to red, Nidoqueen knocks out Kingler, ending its rampage. Bulbasaur finished it off, though he took a hit from Earthquake.

Final Update: The League
Lorelei: Since 4/5 of her Pokémon are water, Pikachu dominates. I mistakenly started with Charizard who did an ok amount of damage with Heat Wave. Jynx does down thanks to Charizard, (who fainted thanks to its Blizzard Attack) and Kingler.

Bruno: Onix goes down in one hit thanks to Kingler. Charizard, though taking a lot of damage, takes out the Hitmons and Machamp. Pikachu took on Poliwrath and knocked it out in two hits of Thunderbolt.

Agatha: Kingler beats Arbok with no problem. Weezing proves to be a challenge for Primeape. Before I could finish it, Agatha switched out to Golbat who took the Ice Punch that was intended for Weezing. Primeape goes down. Pikachu finishes the bat off. Gengar comes out, but goes down without doing anything. Weezing also goes down. Her final Gengar is not a challenge either. Two hits of dig and it is down.

Lance: Seadra goes down no problem thanks to Pikachu. Aerodactyl went down after being frozen by Ice Punch and then being hit by Primeape’s Brick Break. Gyarados goes down in one hit of Thunderbolt from Pikachu. Charizard almost KOs Kingler, but goes down to a single hit of Crabhammer. Pikachu battles Dragonite, but goes down to Outrage. Tauros headbutts Dragonite, causing the Confusion damage to knock it out.

Gary: Pikachu blasts Mega Pidgeot out of the sky in one shot. Vileplume takes about half damage before being swapped out for Jolteon. As I switched to Pikachu, Gary swaps to Slowbro who goes down in one hit of Pika Papow. Vileplume gets knocked out by Charizard. I switch to Bulbasaur as Jolteon comes in. Unfortunately, luck was not on Bulbasaur’s side as it was paralyzed and failed to do anything. Jolteon and Pikachu duel. Jolteon goes down thanks to dig. Kingler handles his last two Pokémon with ease.

This challenge was not really that hard. I only lost once, and then I was simply underleveled (It was Surge by the way). If I had imposed a "no using Candy" rule, then this might have been more of a challenge. It was fun though.
