Thank you. It was a wonderful day. Couldn't have asked for better weather either. Record breaking heat for that time of year, and not a cloud in the sky. It was so hot in a suit though, that pint I'm holding was the first one I'd gotten my hands on, and god was it very much needed haha. Everyone had an awesome time, my sister was positively radiant, even when drunk and making a fool of herself later that evening. I don't often give her open compliments because we like to banter with each other so much, but I told her I loved her and that I was very proud of her. She is so happy, and that makes me happy. Her now-husband is a great guy, and I can't imagine her being with anyone else. They're perfect together, and I've told them so.
I took my sister to see Avengers: Endgame last night (it was my second time seeing it but so worth it). When the movie ended we found out there was a massive storm outside. I didn't know if it was going to let up anytime soon so I took the plunge to walk through the rain to my car. I took a picture after a 15 minute drive home and another 15 of being home, and it's a bit hard to tell from the photo, but I had not nearly dried out yet.
So I realize I haven't shared a pic here since the surgery. And I want to show what the brace looks like. I had to look for a while before I found a photo of me post surgery without the brace on. (My initial search was just to find a picture of the brace without me in it)
The thing I'm holding atop the regular pillow is the brace. The second pillow is just a thing that has to be strapped to my legs while I sleep. The third pillow was borrowed from my dad to prop up my legs at the time, it has since been given back to him.
