@AuburnEnigma the male one would be just fine if you don't mind! I'll be around for most of today if you have the time if not then we can plan for later. This will really save me a whole lot of time! Edit: Would you also have a Popplio with the egg move Aromatic Mist laying around as well? Apparently the only way to breed that onto Popplio is through Smeargle as well.

@Arceus thanks a bunch for the offer but it looks like AuburnEnigma might be helping me out with this one! I'll be sure to make plenty of Oshawott breedjects with Sacred Sword in case you want one and will have plenty of other breedjects if not at a later time. Also good luck with that Pheromosa! I'm sure it will show up soon!

@Blucario thanks for the advice and good luck with that Clefairy!
Hi @PokeCraftier , apologies I've only just seen this - for whatever reason there's an issue with this page that causes it to just constantly reload, so I couldn't see the reply until now. I'll get the male one down from Bank, would trading it to you from my Ultra Sun game be ok? I should be around until about 3am GMT (so another 4 hours) :) Popplio I doubt but I'll check my various games for you.

@AuburnEnigma I'll get on right now! Hopefully I have your friend code entered. Right now I have a bunch of Fennekin, Tepig, Chespin, Froakie, and Snivy breedjects in Beast and Apricorn Balls with HAs and EMs. Any or all of them interest you, although I'm sure you have most of them.

Edit: Sorry it took me a bit, online and ready whenever with a bunch of starter breedjects!

Sorry about the delay, my browser just really doesn't like this site so it wasn't letting me reply back (I've switched to another browser now). I'm just going to PM you with the details so that we don't clog up the thread here :)

Ok, so I am now done breeding egg moves onto my starter Pokemon so now I need to finish my 7th gen Pokemon egg moves and to breed some new 7th gen egg moves onto older Pokemon as well as giveaway some breedjects. Before I move onto that though there is an experiment I might want to try. In my quest to search for a way to get Smeargle to Sketch Aromatic Mist so that I can breed it onto Popplio I found that in all of the 6th and 7th gen wild and trainer encounters documented on websites like Serebii I couldn't find any Pokemon that learn Aromatic Mist which actually have it on their moveset. They either are too low of a level to learn it or too high of a level to remember it. Then I came across someone saying you can Sketch moves onto Smeargle in the Doubles Battle Tree (Aromatisse also can show up here but I'm unsure if they have Aromatic Mist) and can just Sketch an opposing or partner Pokemon. I was always under the impression that Sketch would either fail or the move would revert to Sketch after battle when used in a battle institution like the Battle Tree because it would make sketching moves onto Smeargle far too easy. Does anyone know if this actually works because if it doesn't there may be no legal way to get Aromatic Mist onto Popplio unless I'm missing something.

Heard similar information about Sketch reverting too. Cannot confirm or refute it offhand.

Why not just fight a wild Smeargle, use Aromatic Mist against it (with Bounsweet or something), and breed with that? (Alternatively, Sketch the enemy Smeargle's Aromatic Mist. Saves searching for a wild male Smeargle.) (Disclaimer: Never tried it personally.)

@Deva Huh, I guess I forgot about having a wild Smeargle use Sketch as a potential option, thanks for reminding me! I'm so used to fighting wild Smeargle and Sketch always failing in older games. I'm not really sure of all of the specifics of Sketch, I've only made 5 Smeargles for HA chaining so I guess I'll just have to experiment and report back. The problem which might occur with Aromatic Mist in particular though is to my understanding it is to be used on a partner Pokemon and I'm unsure if you can Sketch a move that fails. Either way when I get the time I guess I'll learn what Sketch is all about!

@Smeargle: How do people do smeargles? I always just use Parasect or Decidueye paired with a status setter for catching and I haven't had any weird egg moves needing it.

Do any of you ever just take pokemon cleaning days? All today I've been sorting through my last WT binges and trading over pokemon/items to my UMoon file. I had forgotten some of the great stuff I had gotten off of it, including :loveball: :chikorita: , :friendball: :alolangrimer: , :heavyball: :fennekin: , :moonball: :roselia: , :levelball: :torchic: and some more. I got a lot of Love Ball, Level Ball, and Moon Ball pokemon. I handed all the berries from the distribution I mentioned on the discord over to the 2 boxes of suitable breedjects to transfer directly to UMoon and traded them over manually to get the berries going while I'm still in Ultra Space. I never would have thought they would give us a whole 12 of each berry! After the legends came over, I set them to pokepelago right off to EV train. It's hard to believe, but I have just about every Pokemon I've caught legendary, or bred myself all up to level 100. I'm almost out of material to sink into Pelago leveling. Almost everything in my box now is either a level 1 untrained baby, or a level 100 fully trained pokemon. Well, now I guess I have another 10 or so level 60 legends in need of a training. On top of that, I'm finally getting around to EV training my HA Litten with the pelago vacancies. He needs 252 HP and is in with some legends for that, but otherwise got a whole plot to himself for a non-252 ATK investment.

Smeargles: Needed one for Avalanche on Cubchoo once. Ignores them otherwise.

Cleaning: Did that once. Grouped same-species Pokemon together. (Owns multiple Eevees, for example.) Reserved boxes for Wonder Trading afterwards. Releases all bad Pokemon. Compares the new against the old. Keeps the better of the two.

@PokeCraftier I did a little bit of research into the move, Sketch, and according to Bulbapedia, when you Sketch a move in a Battle Facility or Link Battle, the Sketched move will be forgotten after the Battle Facility or Link Battle. Here's the link to the page. And yes, unfortunately, Popplio can only get the egg move, Aromatic Mist, by breeding with Smeargle with the move. I remember having a Popplio with Aromatic Mist, but I might've WT'd it a while ago. I can go check tomorrow. I don't remember if you can Sketch a move that fails. I would assume so, since I have a Smeargle in one of my PC boxes that has Wide Guard. I think that move fails in Singles iirc?

@Arceus I personally don't use Smeagles often, since I tend to get breedjects with difficult to get egg moves from giveaways on reddit or from WT. I do use a shiny BR Smeargle to help catch some legendaries here and there though. Its moveset is mainly a VGC 16 one since it was originally bred in Gen 6.

In terms of cleaning days, I do have those like maybe once a month? Or once every other week. Usually it just involves me WTing breedjects that I've stockpiled. Last weekend, I've gone through Bank and moved all of my excess 5iv/perfect matching ball mons to the "Breedjects" boxes in my Ultra Sun game. I've already WT'd those extras last week.

Finally got a Sassy natured Cleffa and it had 0iv in Speed, which is awesome considering that neither parents had that IV, and I needed that specific IV in case of opposing Trick Room. Then I realize that Cleffa can't breed and have to evolve into Clefairy via happiness. I've had to evolve around 5 Cleffas for most of today.

@Smeargle: I'm never sure how to custom tailor a smeargle moveset, so I just tend to avoid them. Usually I just pick egg moves by necessity and then after those considerations, I pile on as many as one parent can pass.

I gave up on Pheromosa for the moment. I caught a Naive, non-shiny one in a :luxuryball: with a nickname I was considering for a Pheromosa (Cushing, my dorm building. We have a lot of cockroaches.) It's an easy to find wormhole. I'll return when my backlog of work dies back down. Before then, I'm going to take care of the breeding preparations for my Ultra Sun Run. I might not go mono grass, so instead I might work with my WT returns. For now I'm thinking :heavyball: :delphox: , :moonball: :mimikyu: , :dreamball: :gastrodoneast: , :friendball: :alolanexeggutor: , :luxuryball: :haxorus: , and :beastball: :minior: . I'll be hopping on those projects now that I've finished my trade breeds for blu and auburn.

From your message on Discord, it seems that you're just about finished in breeding your team for the Ultra Sun run? That's a solid bred team though! I like the variety of underused mons with the crazy OP Haxorus!

I've already said this in the Discord, but I've finally got a TR Cleffa with a matching hatcher, so I'll be getting a shiny TR Cleffa soon. I might breed :beastball: or :premierball: :snover: or a Careful VGC 19 :bounsweet: since apparently the new standard Tsareena set in Moon series has her being Careful natured.

@Blucario : I hope that Snover goes well! I'm glad to see someone getting around to breeding it. The parent of the breedject is a wormhole shiny, so it has kinda horrid IVs and it'd do for a breeding or hyper train.

I've currently bred 5/6, with :shelloseast: being yet a WIP. Class has started back at school, so my pacing is slowed down (meaning . I did end up swapping as I said in the discord an :exeggcute: for a :luxuryball: :ferroseed: . Especially since I plan on EV training, it makes a lot of the weirder and frailer pokemon like :minior: and :delphox: much easier to use knowing I have capable walls backing them up through :gastrodoneast: and :ferrothorn:. :haxorus: too will end up being a great fail safe backing the more situational and experimental builds if they can't seem to break through. It's also my hope that combining a Toxic :mimikyu: with a bulky :ferrothorn: will make short work of UNecro when the time comes. All in all, I'm very excited! These are all pokmon I haven't used in story mode gameplay aside from Delphox in Y.

Haha I hope so too! I'll have to find a way to get 0 IV in Speed inherited onto a Snover offspring, lol. I believe that Ferrothorn and Snover are in the same egg group, so maybe I'll use one of my Ferrothorns to help. I think that I have a random Snover with four egg moves somewhere in Bank, so I can use that parent to pass the egg moves.

Hope that you're able to get the Shellos soon! What nature are you gonna aim for?

I also picked up a shiny TSV matched HA :moonball: :dratini: from a reddit giveaway, so maybe down the road, I'll breed a :duskball: :dratini: , but with Dragonite being not that great in VGC 19 Moon, it's not gonna be high on priority haha.

Speaking of Smeargle, I remember how easy it is obtaining movesets in BW because of the dark grass. XY was kind of manageable because of the restaurant in Lumiose.

As for cleaning days, I was going to host a giveaway but I just got busy and decided to WT them away as well, well some of them anyways. :P

Sorry for not posting as often, I haven't been playing Pokémon as much as I used to but I did play for a little bit because I wanted that shiny Bulu. The only mon I had to breed was an HP Fire Heliolisk but the rest I pretty had the mons all ready.

Hey, you're fine! I too haven't been posting much on here or playing Pokemon. How's the online competition going for you btw? I'm also interested that you decided to breed HP Fire for the Heliolisk. Any specific reason why?

About Smeargle, I apparently, was about to EV train one for VGC 19. Then, I realize that I'll have to put the four moves: Fake Out, Lovely Kiss, Crafty Shield, and Follow Me on the mon.

So sorry for my late response! I'll add you to the members list when I can. Please feel free to continue posting on here! I'll send you a PM to the Discord server in a bit.

For the past few days, I was able to get some TSV hatched shinies. :moonball: :rockruff: w/Own Tempo, and :moonball: :gligar: . I will soon get my :repeatball: :shroomish: , :dreamball: :omanyte: , and :dreamball: :sneasel: TSV shiny hatched in the next upcoming week or so.

My records are 2-1 for my Ultra Moon, 3-0 for my Ultra Sun. As for HP Fire, it was to deal with Kartana but I never ended up using it unfortunately. The plus side is it ended up walling the last two opposing Pokemon (a -2 Sp. Atk Lunala from Eerie Impulse and Choice locked Kyogre in Water Spout) in one battle and I'm really glad it put in some work end game. I was going to do some more battles because I loved my half lizard team but I was kind of getting frustrated from the long wait times.

Congrats on the shinies!

Oh wow, I have that exact same records as you! And yes, for both games. So weird, lol. What was the team that gave you that one loss in your UM? Also, I didn't know that you too had long wait times in the Battle Spot. And thanks! I'm glad that these TSV shinies didn't take too long to get.

I'm gonna be breeding :loveball: and :dreamball: HA :pachirisu: next. It'll probably be an Impish nature with the EMs: Ion Deluge, Charge, Follow Me, and Baby-Doll Eyes. Too bad that Pachirisu isn't too great in VGC 19 with all the big bad legendaries running around.

Well, haven't had the time to test out how Smeargle works but I have been doing a little breeding here and there. I'm still filling in and moving around some egg moves. I'm a bit more fired up now with gen 8 revealed! I can't wait to get them! My favorite starter right now is Sobble! Reminds me of Mudkip whom I also love.
