Usually, when it comes to character motivations during my playthroughs... I basically do end up figuring out some sort of backstory as I make the character, and then develop them little by little as I go on with their story. I have ideas for a whole bunch of characters in my own novels, but progress is slow on those.

Journal Entries 53-56

Entry 53
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

Speaking of detours, we decided to take care of Kinolangdanzel before heading to Dawnstar. We're right here, after all, and I'm sure whoever "she" is - according to Llavados - can wait a little longer. Found a cave with trolls in it, and spent the night there to get warm. Somewhat. Hard to do that all the time out here on the north.

Anyway, onwards to Kinolangdanzel. Hopefully.

Entry 54
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

More Thalmor. Joy. Plus, they attacked me first! So self-defence! Well... I mean... I DID kill their patrol down near Lake Ilinata, so I guess news travels fast? I don't know. Nothing the two of us couldn't handle.

I suppose I could explore this keep here. I wonder why the Thalmor are here.

Entry 55
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

Just a bunch of prisoners. Oh well. Regardless, we made it to Kinolangdanzel. Had to deal with a lot of bandits and Thalmor along the way - looted some of their clothes, too, in case I need to do some disguising - and found a boat near Orphan's Tear.

Time to take on another one of these dungeons. If only Llavados would shut up.

Entry 56
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

Skulltulas and Stalchildren. Yep, this is like Morwitijaal, alright. Surprising that this is more like a dwemer ruin than anything. Slightly. Surprising. I think it said it was Dwemer in the Ocarina book, I can't remember. We've been running into a lot of skeletons and Stalchildren so far. Had to open some doors with keys found on... corpses, of all things.

Is it just me, or are these Hyrulean dungeons plain... freaky?

Entry 57
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

So... we were not the first people to venture into this place... that's to be expected. Found a mage in some strange Dwarven robes, and a warrior in some form of Stormcloak armour. Both of them with journals - both of them saying nothing but riddles.

There's more of the same as we go on - Stalfos, Redeads, Skulltulas...

This will take a while, I think.

Entry 58
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

Seems this place runs into a Falmer nest. Either that, or the Falmer dug into the ruin a long time ago. Either way, the Falmer were already dead.

Travelling further, we found what I believe to be the culprit - a White Wolfos. At least, that's what Ignacia called it. I called it a massive bipedal wolf that exploded with ice shards as soon as my arrow hit home.

As little as Ignacia knows... we might need to find someone who knows a bit more.

Entry 59
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

More Falmer - some alive, all dead - more Redeads, those strange wisps, and now...

Spirits of the dead? Hylian Spirits? I'm not sure what they are.

At least I know what a big hulking thing with a sword is: A Darknut. Very strange, I'll be honest.

Then again, when exploring these dungeons, is ANYTHING not strange?

Entry 60
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

Guess I was wrong. Redead Knights are a thing. Okay.

It took quite a while to take down, but we managed. Unfortunately, Ignacia lost her cloak and face cover in the process. I'll have to procure new ones for her at another time.

Also found a spellbook that allows the... summoning of Redeads? Okay... Not sure what that's about.

Entry 61
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

A massive Skulltula? And what is with these places planting names in my head?

What was its name, you ask? Gohma. Yeah, I don't get it either. Why this thing has a name is beyond me.

Regardless, lots of poison I can use at some point, bits of Skulltula chitin and such. And a spellbook that summons - you guessed it - Skulltulas. Wonderful.

Entry 62
Rain's Hand, 29th, 4E 201

A Stalfos Knight and a Greater Darknut were next. They weren't... too much trouble. Honestly, I think the problem with the first one is that I tried to make it a bit more interesting. Must remember to just STICK TO THE SHADOWS, ASTERA!

Ah... this is really tiresome. Honestly, I'll need a drink. And a nice warm bed to sleep in after all of this.

What's that, Llavados? You say there's no time? Do I look like I care? No? Good.

Great. Talking to a pneuma. Riveting.

Entry 63
Rain's Hand, 30th, 4E 201

By Azura! ... yes, I know that there was a Bosmer who said that, I've heard that tale. Rather annoying, but that's beside the point.

A giant silver Centurion was guarding what seems to be the final chamber - a shrine. Here housed a blue ocarina - the Ocarina of Time, it is called. Unfortunately, I couldn't open the gate here yet.

Far to the Southeast, among the aspens, to the refectory of the ruin on the peak. One with alpenglow.

The gate will open only with a key crafted from the notes of time itself.

Entry 64
Rain's Hand, 30th, 4E 201

Had to settle for coooooooold night at the bandit camp in Orphan's Tear. Then again, it was getting close to sunrise, so about a 4 hour nap was what I had.

Anyway, I've heard rumours about some sort of cavern to the west of here. Might as well check it out.

Oh, and I've put a muffler on Llavados's pneuma. Not sure if it actually helps, though.

Yeah... I'm pretty sure my Hall of the Vigilant is bugged. Whether or not it has to do with running the Vigilant mod or not, because I can't get IN the hall, it's technically destroyed, but the outer walls are still there, and the door doesn't work. Great. Bugs. Fantastic.

Oh, and yeah, there IS a typo and stuff on Entry 66. Since this IS coming straight from in-game though... I'm keeping basically every spelling mistake that I've done.

Journal Entries 65-68

Entry 65
Rain's Hand, 30th, 4E 201

Pirates, huh? Interesting... wonder what they've got here.

It's a rather big cavern, this place is. A ship, huh? The name says it's called "The Scarlett" on the side. Seems like a nice ship, but these pirates stripped it of everything.

Oh well. Nothing a bit of work and gold can't fix. It might take some time, but it'd give me a nice base of operations.

Entry 66
Second Seed, 15th, 4E 201

Well... Llavados has shut up completely. And I know it's been... at least 15 days since I last wrote in here. We were... too busy getting the Scarlett back to its former glory - and then some. Got it over to Solitude helped a bit.

Anyway, now that this ship is back in business, I suppose it's FINALLY time to head to Dawnstar, and deal with whatever's going on in Stonehole Mine.

Though, as we were working on the ship, I swear I could hear some sort of... roar... in the skies. Well... I'm not sure what it is. Hopefully it won't bite me in the ass at some point.

Entry 67
Second Seed, 15th, 4E 201

Made it to Dawnstar, and it appears the place has its own problems. Great... horrible nightmares. Not sure which Daedra is involved here.

Anyway, I have a mine to get to, so I can get Llavados off my back. But why do I get the feeling that this will be a bit more... arduous?

I kind of get a shiver up my spine, like I might not even make it if I'm not careful.

I've been preparing for it for days - amongst building up the ship - but this... might take a while...

Entry 68
Second Seed, 15th, 4E 201

I can't believe it. I can't, believe it.

A giant. A massive giant, and we killed it. We KILLED a GIANT. Wow. All the while almost freezing to death in this place. Ugh...

Found the Hall of the Vigilant, which seemed to have... some vigilants still alive from an apparent vampire attack. I'm... not sure what to make of it, honestly.

Anyway, we reached Stonehole Mine. Time to get this over with...

Undead Poltergeist miners!

Great.

Lots of undead poltergeist miners!

Fantastic. Just what I needed.

Entry 70
Second Seed, 16th, 4E 201

Damn it! Ignacia couldn't get through! Looks like I'm going the rest of the way alone. Unless she can get over to where I am. Which I doubt.

Boy, is this fun. Flipping levers, killing poltergeists, dodging minecarts. I have no idea what insane mine came up with this.

But who can even comprehend it, anyway? It's like comprehending the Clockwork City...

Actually, I may be onto something. Llavados said something about Sotha Sil - the name of the city - not being easy to reach.

Entry 71
Second Seed, 16th, 4E 201

What. The heck. Was that?

A whole bunch of... poltergeists... grouping together as one, and then spliting up as I shoot and cut it down? Is this some sort of crazy undead guardian or something?

Ugh... Still haven't found Ignacia. At least she won't have to deal with this mess.

Regardless, time to press onward.

Entry 72
Second Seed, 16th, 4E 201

Lull-Mor. Apparently, it's a section of Sotha Sil, and it monitors Snow-Throat - The Throat of the World. Basically, the big mountain the Greybeards are on. Whoever the Greybeards are.

Looks like I've got three places to mark - The Throat of the World, The College of Winterhold, and the Thalmor Embassy. You know, I didn't realise the Thalmor had an embassy.

Anyway, the main elevator came just south of a place called Fort Neugrad, near the Pale Pass gate to Cyrodiil. Guess I'll clear it of bandits and stay the night. Or something.

Entry 73
Second Seed, 17th, 4E 201

Decided to head back to the Scarlett thanks to a teleportation spell on the ship. And somehow, it also brought along Ignacia!

Poor girl was stuck trying to find a way across back in Stonehole. Not a good jumper, apparently.

Anyway, during... "breakfast" - at midnight, because we decided to crash at about 4:30 - I talked with her about what we discovered. We decided that - since the Thalmor Embassy is so close to Solitude - we could take care of that first, then deal with anything else that comes along the way.

Entry 74
Second Seed, 17th, 4E 201

Well. An execution as soon as I entered the city. Not mine, though. It was for some Nord named Roggvir, who let Ulfric out of Solitude after killing the High King in what has been claimed as a duel by the Stormcloaks, and murder by the Imperials.

And this is why I don't bother myself with politics. All I know is that the Thalmor are even worse.

Wait... what if... they orchestrated the entire thing?

Entry 75
Second Seed, 17th, 4E 201

One peg down, two to go. Seems like things might be picking up. I don't know.

Also decided to buy myself a horse! And ran into more Thalmor who were escorting another DEAD prisoner. I don't know why, but seriously... take better care of your prisoners.

Oh wait. They're the Thalmor. Never liked them, never will.

Entry 76
Second Seed, 18th, 4E 201

Got a better saddle and bridle for my new horse, though it took a little bit. Also a strange... horn that could basically summon the horse wherever. Definitely strange.

I'm not sure how or why Haafingar is so damn COLD in the morning, but after taking a look at the Solitude Court, I think it's time we hit the road. Or the seas. Actually... nah, the road sounds a bit more exciting.

Entry 77
Second Seed, 18th, 4E 201

Found a strange grotto near Haafingar - just a bit off the road from Frost River. Inside is a... young girl that sounds like a woman. Her name's Ellary. Obviously, she didn't say much about who she was. Fair.

Opening up some stone doors, I dispatched of a Gold Skulltula, as well as a Poe. There were two chests in there. One was a fake chest - I've seen those before in Morrowind while on missions - and another one with some loot and... a white cape that can defy gravity? Apparently, it's called the Roc's Cape.

We said our goodbyes to Ellary, but we might come back here another time.

Entry 78
Second Seed, 18th, 4E 201

Fort Snowhawk. Place was filled in Necromancers. Just fantastic. Put in some skeletons, and pissing down rain, and you've got yourself one miserable Dunmer. And Imperial.

To make the day even worse, there was this dog named Meeko. Unfortunately, the place it was in was teeming with mages - who killed the dog as it went back to its home!

Thankfully, those mages are all dead now, so I can probably say that the dog has been avenged. Though apparently Ignacia is surprised I have a soft spot for dogs. You don't get dogs in Morrowind. You just don't.

Entry 79
Second Seed, 19th, 4E 201

My name is Astera Tirell, of House Tirell - a minor house of House Redoran. Our house became a minor house in the... Great... House... after the Alliance War and the Planemeld. All thanks to my ancestor, Giron.

Not to mention saving Vvardenfell, Sotha Sil - both the saint and the city - Summerset, Elsweyr... basically all of Tamriel. Almost difficult to believe for one man.

But he was no ordinary man. In the stories I heard about him, I remember the word "Vestige" popping up now and again.

Entry 80
Second Seed, 19th, 4E 201

My life in the Morag Tong was an interesting one. Service to Mephala - somewhat, but I remained steadfast to Azura - and killing corrupt people wherever they hid. It ended up being part of the family. Some became powerful mages, and others, sneaky assassins.

I had often wondered what my ancestor had thought to do this. He had joined the Dark Brotherhood, before he decided to call it quits - and subsequently killed all assassins who tracked him back to Ebonheart - and yet, none of the stories about him say who on Nirn he married and had his children with. It's all rather confusing.

A dragon claw made of Ivory? Huh. Oh, I should back up a bit.

We continued along after Fort Snowhawk, and found some abandoned camps - one of which was near a Nordic Ruin named Folgunthur. Continued on through to find...

A dead mage in amongst dead adventurers and dead draugr. Said mage said in his journals that he was after something called the Gauldur Amulet, which had to do with some man's power being divided among 3 amulets in 3 different crypts.

Well. Fun.

Entry 82
Second Seed, 19th, 4E 201

Found the amulet from the one imprisoned here - Mikrul. As well as a Charred Fragment, so that helps... a little bit. Still not sure what these Tarnished Shards and Charred Fragments are. Or why there's 24 of each.

Oh well. Guess we'll just... figure it out as we go.

Entry 83
Second Seed, 20th, 4E 201

Whew! Nothing like a morning skirmish with bandits to get the blood flowing! Sure, it was pretty tough, and I almost died - twice - but we managed to fix up that second peg in Winterhold - procuring a diamond in the least conspicuous way possible.

Anyway, back to the ship, and time head to Ivarstead and get to the Throat of the world. Hopefully that last peg will provide some answers.

But if you ask me, my first guess remains the Thalmor.

Entry 84
Second Seed, 20th, 4E 201

Also didn't take that long to get to Ivarstead through the rivers. Wow. But anyway, on the way up to High Hrothgar - the monastery on the Throat of the World - I offered to help a man named Klimmek in sending some supplies up the mountain.

Altruistic? Me? Well... I was heading up there myself, anyway. Kill two birds with one stone.

I don't see the Greybeards welcoming me to their sanctum. Despite the strange voices at those walls, I'm definitely not on their list of people to meet with.

Second Seed, 20th, 4E 201

I'm writing this as I'm warming myself near the Ivarstead Inn's fire, shivering from the cold wind and snow that the mountain held. Gods forbid I have to make THAT journey again...

Anyway, I've put down the last peg, and Klimmek's supplies. I suppose I should make my way back to Lull-Mor, see what the pegs manage to find out about this whole thing.

However... I could also try and find the strange songbook page I need, that I hazard a guess to be near Riften... It might help with entering the gates in Kinolangdanzel and Morwitijaal.

Entry 86
Second Seed, 21st, 4E 201

I need to eat my words. Twice over.

First off, there was this ruin on a mountain that look interesting. I went up it. What did I find? A LIVE DRAGON. Eating words number one.

And then, when we killed it, I... absorbed its soul? And suddenly, I could shout that strange "Fus" sound I heard in my head back in Bleak Falls Barrow. Like it was nothing! And then, I heard "DOVAHKIIN" get shouted from High Hrothgar. From what little I knew, it meant one thing.

The Greybeards want to see me. As if I wasn't already done with climbing that damn mountain.

Entry 87
Second Seed, 21st, 4E 201

I've had a little bit of time to process... what happened.

How? How do I have this power? What even IS this power? Does the Tirell bloodline still have some sort of hero favour or something? Was it the will of the gods? The Daedra? I don't know.

But dragons are in Skyrim. Real, living, breathing dragons. I dismissed them as rumours, but... if a dragon truly destroyed Helgen, then we've got a problem on our hands.

Entry 88
Second Seed, 22nd, 4E 201

Forelhost. A massive Dragon Cult ruin with the page containing the Song of Time - a song that supposedly should open those gates from before.

Anyway, there was also a Thalmor agent posing as an Imperial Soldier - which I found out by sneakily looking through his stuff, and then promptly killed him before entering - and the usual undead Draugr and stuff.

What is this place? These... crystals... these strange doors and valves... The Link Between Worlds, huh? I wonder what it could mean.

Oh, to give some context, I went back to Lostport Cavern and spruced up the place with a tavern, blacksmith, guards, workers, etc. Now I get money from there every so often, so that's nice.

We decided to head back to Kinolangdanzel and open the gate, which led to...

Here.

Entry 90
Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

Ignacia couldn't go through the door. It's... just me in here. Alone.

Alone in a deserted, freezing cave, filled with ruins of a bygone era - the era of Hyrule, if I had to guess.

I'm still not sure how Hyrule got destroyed, but I suppose I'll find my answers as I continue.

Entry 91
Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

The Mask of Truth. From what I gleamed about it, it can talk to those strange Gossip Stones I've been seeing all over Skyrim. Seems they give hints about a few things. I managed to learn about an emerald near Lost Valley Redoubt, as well as a Noble Sword being able to be forged into two different swords - whatever that means.

All of this beneath a strange well... What is this place?

Entry 92
Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

The Ocarina of Time? A tool of war? Triforce? What is this Triforce this "smithy" was talking about in that journal? I'm not sure.

But I can guess that these caves... these ruins... are the leftovers of this village near some sort of volcano. It hasn't said yet where this was... but I think I'll find out soon.

Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

Hyrule is dying.

Well, in actuality, Hyrule is dead by now, but that line from a Hylian Soldier's journal stuck out at me.

There was no hope for them. This... "Dark Army" was at the castle with no Royal Family - whoever they are - and even this village - Kakariko Village - remained as cold as the rest of Hyrule.

No wonder the place below is called the Freezing Caves. Everything is cold, everything is dead.

An era lost, an entire race destroyed.

Entry 94
Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

I was right. Hyrule is beyond saving. That's what happens when you hear the words of something called the Great Fairy. Well, the "Last Great Fairy", if what it says is true... which is entirely possible.

But... I have a bit of direction now. Itnamzand, a ruin in the northwest part of Solstheim. I didn't entirely want to go there... but I could always check if anyone I know is there. I doubt it, though.

But... this Triforce thing. Power, Wisdom, Courage... Willpower, Knowledge, Emotion. That's what these shards and fragments are? Pieces of the Triforce? Whatever it is? What IS it?

Entry 95
Second Seed, 25th, 4E 201

The village's mayor... a blade was stabbed through his pillow. Perhaps even through his head, and the skeletons have long faded away... but the blood remains...

And outside, in the village - the freezing cold village - there were... I'm not sure what to call them. They were strange... alien, almost. They... were... they.

I don't know why they were here, but I left them alone as much as I could.

But... that's all I've managed to find here. Time to head back to Skyrim. I have a lot to tell Ignacia.

Entry 96
Second Seed, 26th, 4E 201

Well... I made it back to Lull-Mor. And, as I expected, the Thalmor are the ones screwing with Snow-Throat - to put it plainly. As the Analyst put it, funnily enough: "Next time you want the obvious, ask a child!"

As well, I checked out what seemed to be the residential area. It seems Numinar has a few things that can also be considered strange. And he called Llavados the weird one.

For example, a red FRF (little clockwork bug things that crawl around) was trading dyes for human hearts. And there's also a lantern with apparent bad luck called the Idiot's Lantern. Don't ask me.

That... was not an experience I wish to... experience... again. Getting captured is one thing. Being captured by a crazed Thalmor and his insane experiments is a different thing entirely.

But I managed to retrieve Archeron's plans and get back to Lull-Mor. Unfortunately, it's bad news: Archeron intends to get to the stone underneath the Throat of the World and, not only use it, but destroy it - effectively destroying the tower, from what Numinar has told me.

Speaking of, I've been told by Numinar to head to a place called the Boiling Foundry, far below Sotha Sil.

Entry 98
Second Seed, 26th, 4E 201

This foundry is... something else, I can tell you that. Thank Azura for my training, otherwise... I don't think I'd be jumping across these piston platforms and gears as well as I have been.

There's also some crazy machines that have been annoying to fight. They're heated metal, but attack with ice. It's strange, to be sure. But I managed to get through that. My Yeti Glass Armour's Weakness to Fire doesn't help too much with everything else, though.

Oh, and I managed to find something called the Staff of Ohm, which can activate these blue crystal things in the foundry. Probably in Lull-Mor, too.

Entry 99
Second Seed, 27th, 4E 201

Well, I managed to get the drillbit. As well as deal with a strange clockwork dragon or something that whistled out steam a lot. And I managed to bring it back to Numinar. It's gonna take time for them to do the digging to the Stone.

Anyway, I got a note from... the Eternity - something Numinar mentioned earlier as being some higher up or something. They wanted me to take out Archeron's mines, loot as much as possible, destroy everything, etc, etc.

I wonder what Ignacia's up to.

Entry 100
Second Seed, 27th, 4E 201

So, Archeron's mine went down without a hitch. I decided to back to the Scarlett for a good "night"'s sleep... only for Numinar to grab me when I went to take a look outside. Thanks, Numinar...

Anyway, there's a problem. Apparently the drilling led into a forgotten section of the Clockwork City, and a number of the mining team were killed. Numinar thinks that the fabricants there are agitated about something, so I'll have to go have a look.

Don't tell me Archeron made it to the stone first...

The Brass Forest. What a name. As if Dwemer pipes and crazy large tree trunks and branches aren't insane enough.

There's these... strange things in them too. Made of bone, but somehow undead. I really don't understand it.

All I need to understand right now is to get through this place and sort out this mess.

Oh. And there's large undead mammoths too. Which I've had to run away from because they're almost impossible to kill.

Entry 102
Second Seed, 27th, 4E 201

Goverdi... I wonder who that person was. Especially when his... sword... can instantly kill those large bone mammoths.

It can also hit green switches, too. Guess that helps. Managed to get to some massive chasm... thing that has a whole bunch of them.

Entry 103
Second Seed, 28th, 4E 201

Ow... my head... that strange thing took a lot out of me, and I almost lost the notebook.

When I came to, I found out I was rescued by Divayth Fyr - THAT Divayth Fyr I remember from my ancestor's stories about Nocturnal in Clockwork City - as well as a Dwemer named Yagrum Bagarn, who apparently managed to get restored from Corpus after Dagoth Ur was defeated.

Apparently, there's a saboteur screwing with the digging. Unfortunately, it's going to take more time to complete the dig AND figure out who's sabotaging it. So... back to old fashioned adventuring.

Entry 104
Second Seed, 28th, 4E 201

So, it wasn't a fluke, getting that dragon soul. Not when I've defeated another dragon and absorbed ITS soul, too.

Anyway, there's this strange barrow - Yngol Barrow - that I'm looking at, and already it's rather strange.

A Dragon Claw with a coral colour, a strange mirror shield with a face on it... what else is here?

Entry 105
Second Seed, 29th, 4E 201

Well. As if things wouldn't get any crazier. Or more wet. Gods, this rain is annoying.

Ended up taking shelter in a place called Redwood Den - a skooma den of all things. But... something about it seems... off.

Not sure what, though.

Entry 106
Second Seed, 30th, 4E 201

A vampire den. Fantastic. Just... fantastic. Well, pretty much everyone in there is dead now - aside from a vampire girl that I didn't want to kill. She probably won't be harming anyone.

Also found a new shout, and killed my third dragon. Fun. Apparently, Ulfric Stormcloak wants a dragon in Eastmarch killed. I'm on my way there currently.

Just had to kill that dragon in Northwind Basin before that.

Entry 107
Second Seed, 31st, 4E 201

I took out the dragon bounty - which was simple enough. It seems the Stormcloaks are targeting Whiterun for the war. Not that I really care.

Speaking of Whiterun, I put in the request for some iron ingots to the blacksmith, then talked to the woman in the Kynareth temple. Seems I'm to go to Orphan Rock to get some sort of blade called "Nettlebane" in order to tap into the big tree.

There was also a note of a place called the "Ancestor Gleam" which has some sort of strange blade there... I might go there first.

Maybe it's a Relic of Hyrule.

Entry 108
Second Seed, 31st, 4E 201

Speaking of Hyrule relics, the block inside that secret grotto in Rorikstead reacted to the Song of Time. Seems those blocks are important somehow.

Though for some reason, I... was stuck in an area that wasn't open. Strange... but it's getting late. We'll deal with it in the morrow.

Might be nice to sleep in an inn for a change - even if my quarters on the Scarlett are very comfortable.

Entry 109
Second Seed, 31st, 4E 201

Well... that was much simpler than I realised.

Apparently there was a lever on the ceiling that we didn't notice. Inside were things called Tektites and a few shades. Or something.

At the end was some medallion with a wave-like symbol on it. From what I can tell, it's called the Quake Medallion.

Not sure what it's purpose is, though.

Entry 110
Mid Year, 1st, 4E 201

We continued heading west, in search of the place where Red Eagle's Sword is. Somehow ran into a massive encampment of Forsworn. Then again, as we've heard, the Reach is full of Forsworn.

There was a huge cave... thing... that opened up further things by these weird symbols that I don't know yet feel strangely familiar to. Maybe it's this "Dragonborn" thing talking. Oh yeah, that's what "Dovahkiin" means, apparently.

But this temple, though. What is it? What is with that face in the back wall?

Entry 111
Mid Year, 2nd, 4E 201

Well then... a sword in a crazy Forsworn place, that needed human blood on it - which it had a lot of already, from my guess.

We then had to take it to a place called Rebel's Cairn... where we fought and defeated Red Eagle himself... as a Draugr.

Well... I'm pretty sure we're done here. This sword of his is going in the Scarlett.

I think we have a space for it.

Entry 112
Mid Year, 2nd, 4E 201

Argh... damn it, I almost broke my legs. Almost.

Archeron. He disguised himself as Fyr in order to gain access to the Stone... and Numinar was completely fooled. Put me in a cell, thinking I was the saboteur... Now that I think about it, his logic was sound, but he targeted the wrong person.

Now I'm at the bottom of the world. I need to find a way out of here, back to Lull-Mor...

And hopefully put an end to that blasted Thalmor.

Entry 113
Mid Year, 3rd, 4E 201

Llavados is down here, and surprisingly sane. Apparently, there's a being called Memory... that will allow people to survive the destruction of the world. Or something. But if Snow-Throat dies, so will she, and the people of the future won't survive.

Unfortunately, Archeron can't be killed by normal means... which means we have to use unconventional means.

Like this strange shield that can blow things away. Interesting, considering I'm not the sort of person to use a shield.

Strangely lightweight, too.

Entry 114
Mid Year, 3rd, 4E 201

Masscroft - Archeron's lackey - is dead. Tough as nails, trying to knock him into a pit five or six times, but he's finally gone.

Time to head down the mining tunnel, and finish Archeron once and for all.

Entry 115
Mid Year, 4th, 4E 201

This place is ridiculous.

Lava, crazy Thalmor abominations, gears, flames...

Yeah.

The drill's also lost its power source. And the Titanium drillbit. Fun.

Entry 116
Mid Year, 4th, 4E 201

Archeron... he infused himself with his creation - R.A.M.O.N, it was called... and he died with it, thanks to the Lullian Shield's unwinding abilities.

Memory is safe, Llavados is... down in the core, and Lull-Mor is safe to keep turning until... the end.

Gods, this is an adventure for the ages. I suppose I'd have something to tell my kids in the future... and my ancestor, should I ever meet him in the afterlife.

Considering there was a recent dev diary for Beyond Skyrim, it makes me even more excited to get to that storyline for Bruma. Unfortunately, after a bit more adventuring, I'll be going into the Beyond Reach questline, so that'll take quite a while. Bruma will most likely be after that.

Either that, or I finally do a bit more on Skyrim's main quest. But who knows about that? It's rather boring, but it does give good shouts. I should probably go find more word walls and shouts after I'm done with Beyond Reach.

Though, if you want my opinion, Roscrea is the one that excites me the most, followed by either Morrowind or Atmora. Atmora will be a pain with Frostfall, I can tell you that. But yeah, it's looking really good.

Mid Year, 5th, 4E 201

Glade. Not Gleam. Ancestor Glade. Goes to show I'm terrible with names.

Anyway, there IS a strange sword here... I haven't touched it yet, and I can't shake the feeling that this sword is a Relic of Hyrule.

The blade is... interesting in its design. Could this be that Blade of Evil's Bane I saw mentioned in one of those forging recipes or something?

What did they call it... the Master Sword? I think that's what they called it.

Strange place for a sword, though.

Entry 118
Mid Year, 5th, 4E 201

Took the Master Sword, but I think I need to find a good place to... forge it or something.

We decided to take a trip to Solstheim - see if anyone I'm familiar with is here. So far... no luck. It's rather unfortunate.

Then again, this IS my first time in Solstheim. Most of my missions were in mainland Morrowind or Vvardenfell, not Solstheim.

Though I could do without the ash storms... they're hurting my eyes...

I should probably buy some goggles.

Entry 119
Mid Year, 6th, 4E 201

As if my time in Solstheim didn't get any weirder... a thing from whatever Daedric Realm it is is here. What do they call it? A Lurker? From Hermaeus Mora's plane of Oblivion? I think that's what it was.

What on Nirn is it doing here? No doubt there's more of them, but... it seems very concerning.

Probably not as concerning to me as the happenings in Skyrim, but...

Well, I can always come back here later if duty calls. For now, to Itnamzand!

Entry 120
Mid Year, 6th, 4E 201

Three towers... not... what I expected. Also what I wasn't expecting was a whole bunch of Chilfos, AND entering it from underwater. Fun.

It's definitely Dwemer in design, I'll give it that much.

Too many Tektites, though.

And - oh joy! A massive hole to jump down! As if these dungeons don't get any crazier...

Makes me wonder what on earth is hiding behind that gate in the Link Between Worlds...

Entry 121
Mid Year, 7th, 4E 201

There were a group of adventurers in this place. A number of journals were left behind. Of course, no doubt all of them are dead by now - considering how ridiculous this place is.

Dropping down a large hole into a pool of water, a maze that looks like an upside-down Dwemer ruin, and everything seemingly collapsing? I really can't tell with the last part.

Just like I can't tell if Ignacia's actually jumped down the hole or not.

Oh well. I can probably manage on my own.

Entry 122
Mid Year, 7th, 4E 201

Vampires, Gimos, and a giant Automaton to boot! Once more with these things. The Automaton was simple enough to defeat, and also had some spell tomes to be able to summon thralls. Not that I'll ever use them.

But this place... the Link Between Worlds... well, it just got a whole lot weirder. There was a gate that was closed, which I finally opened, and then I entered...

Well, they call it the Shattered Lands. And from the looks of it, it is definitely shattered.

Entry 123
Mid Year, 7th, 4E 201

An hourglass... a mirror... strange.

Then the three books - each outlining the details of the Ancient Enchanter, the forge - the Terminan Forge - and the songs for the Ocarina. While it makes things simpler... I have no experience in smithing. My daggers were either looted off of corpses, found in chests, or given to me by my superiors. Depending on the situation, my equipment was different.

But making my own? That will take a lot of time. And patience. Do I have that patience? I don't know.

Entry 124
Mid Year, 9th, 4E 201

A few things have happened since I last wrote. I suppose I should start from the beginning. Once we left Itnazmand, we took the... "scenic route" down the western coast of Solstheim. Ran into another of those strange stones that people were hammering things to and chanting things.

I touched the stone, and... for some reason, I was hammering. I was hearing the chanting. I do not know who's voice I was hearing, but I didn't expect to be able to shake it off.

I'm not even sure what's going on.

Entry 125
Mid Year, 9th, 4E 201

After getting back to the Scarlett, we took a stop at Lostport Cavern to gather the profits, before heading back to Windhelm.

Another dragon later, and we're still on the road to Shor's Stone. I'm thinking of revisiting Riften, see what I can do there.

Found a strange ruin, too. Someone wanted to bring back their husband, but failed, so brought back draugr and other things for an army.

But these Golden Gauntlets... as soon as I put two daggers in my hands... my strikes were much faster. And I mean MUCH faster. How is that possible?

Entry 126
Mid Year, 9th, 4E 201

Apparently a Khajiit named Inigo knows me. Unfortunately, I do not recall him. His name remains unfamiliar. Perhaps I did, perhaps I didn't. Anyway, I got the cat to accompany me, since he apparently had some sort of "debt" for shooting me in the back. Apparently.

I showed him the Scarlett, before we parted ways with Ignacia, promising to meet again in the near future - should the promise of more Hyrulean Relics present itself.

For now... I suppose I could take on some jobs. I WAS trained as an assassin, after all. Just have to keep the Brotherhood and the Morag Tong off of me.

Entry 127
Mid Year, 10th, 4E 201

Great... the job is taking me to Markarth. Fantastic. One of the Jarl's servants needs to die... for some reason. Oh well, I'll take what I can get.

Though part of me thinks the woman is from the Brotherhood... which in that case would make it a bad idea...

Well, I have things to do in Markarth, so it'll be a decent stop, at the very least.

Inigo and I also cleared out some sort of spider-Falmer cave on our way to Karthwasten. Still going to be a while before we reach there, however.

Entry 128
Mid Year, 10th, 4E 201

Someone almost got attacked. Luckily, the fool completely missed his target - and we managed to take him out before he got the woman for real. Shouted something about Forsworn. Not my concern, despite me wanting to investigate.

Better yet, I dealt with that servant by using a Fury spell. It was a bit shoddy, but it worked. Now to find that hooded woman again for my pay.

I'm too tired to think. I'll have a sleep and sort out that in the morning.

Entry 129
Mid Year, 11th, 4E 201

Decided to take the carriage to Evermore... only for me to get separated from Inigo... and for us to stop near the Divide - some place in High Rock.

Apparently there's these people called Witchmen that make the Forsworn look like children. At least according to the merchant. Anyway, these Witchmen attacked a tower and killed everyone in there.

Now I've got to head further in and talk to some governor about the attack. Great... what are the odds she finds out who I am and tries to send me back to Morrowind? Eh... pretty low, actually.

Entry 130
Mid Year, 11th, 4E 201

Talked to the governor - reunited with Inigo along the way - and now I'm heading to another place called Arnima.

Before heading off, a mercenary named Ulkarin offered his services - seeing as he knows the area. I hired him, and we ended up heading down the north road from The Divide.

Along the way there was this massive tear in the ground from magicka that led to this mine we're in right now. Some sort of necromancer or something is around here.

Fun.

Entry 131
Mid Year, 12th, 4E 201

Found... some sort of encampment that we managed to clear out. Some sort of gang called the Dragonstars. Don't ask me what they are. Seem to be Redguards.

Entry 132
Mid Year, 13th, 4E 201

Well... seems like I need to make a new entry rather than finish the last page...

Ended up helping the Roaches - and gaining some sort of favour with the Exiled (basically, they won't trouble me as I journey through the area) - which did involve some sneaking and killing - both of which I'm good at.

However, it has been freezing in this part of High Rock, so we found some sort of Ayleid Ruin to camp in and warm up. Even if it's filled with strange ghosts and things. Experiments? I'm not sure.
