A bored god is always a scary thing. You can only sit back and watch the world turn and do more or less the same thing for so long. It all gets old: the volcanoes spewing liquid rock, the planetary bodies smashing into each other to create something new, and the giant waves crushing everything within their path. It makes you want to reset everything to see what you can create under a new set of rules you know?

There has been one recent development though. On a small rocky planet circling an average star there exists a flourishing group of primates that have not only transformed their planet, but they also have aspirations of transforming the universe. It sounds interesting, but will everything in the universe just turn into a carbon copy of their home world? Will they appreciate everything as I once did or will they destroy it?

To answer this question I have decided to start a little game for the kingdoms of this world to play. Maybe this will make this world more exciting.

https://discord.gg/xjfMK6k

I have made a discord cause people wanted me to. This should not replace the thread in terms of updates or sponsors giving items.

The Nuzlocke Hunger Games

Rules

- This challenge will be on a randomized Platinum. You must also know how to use Pokegen (or another save file editor) and Pokemon Showdown. Note: there are useful guides online for these.
- You may only catch the first Pokemon on each route.
- If a Pokemon faints it is dead and must be either released or perma-boxed. If a Pokemon faints in a checkpoint battle it is not considered dead. One time items that are used in checkpoint battles are spent in game.
- Dupes clause is set to optional.
- You may only buy 10 items per shop. More items will be distributed through sponsors.
- Underground is off limits
- No in-game trades.
- I can punish the participants whenever I see fit.

- The checkpoints will be set once sign ups close.
- Each checkpoint has a maximum level that you are allowed to reach. (These checkpoints will be on curve for a Nuzlocke as this is just to prevent over grinding) If a Pokemon goes above this level they may not be used in the checkpoint battle and until you reach the next checkpoint.
- The first person to post that they have reached a checkpoint will be considered to have captured the checkpoint and everyone else will have 4 days to catch up.
- Within those 4 days, the person to capture the checkpoint will get to choose a player to battle in the checkpoint battle. The winner will receive a reward while the loser will receive a penalty.
- You are allowed to set aside up to eight Pokemon to be used in your checkpoint battle. After you reach a checkpoint you may train up your Pokemon as long as they don't exceed the level cap and you post your trained team before the next checkpoint begins.
- To verify your Pokemon, post their stat screen. EXAMPLE
- The battle may not start within 24 hours of the challenge being made on here. This is to allow sponsors time to bet on the battle.
- Every so often there will be an elimination checkpoint. These checkpoints lack a reward and the loser faces elimination.
- Depending on how many players are left, a set number of players that arrive at the checkpoint after the first person will receive an immunity from being challenged.

- Sponsors will start with 6000 Coins and receive 1000 Coins every checkpoint.
- As a sponsor, to send an item to a participant say the item you are giving and how much that item costs in the thread. @ both me and the sponsor to make sure it is seen. I will like your post if it is a valid sponsorship.
- Once the sponsorship has been validate, the participant the item has been given to will hack the item(s) into the game.
- As an additional way to gain money, you may bet on the checkpoint battles. Say how much you would like to bet and on which participant. This money will be put into on one of two pools based on who you bet for. If you are correct, you will get a percent of the money from the losing pool based on the percent of the money you had in the winning pool. If you are wrong, you will lose the money that you bet.

I'd like to sign up as a participant!

Do You Have the Required Materials?: I have the game and a randomizer, and I suppose I can get Pokegen

I have one question beforehand: how many checkpoints do you roughly wanna use? Like, 1 per badge, 2 per badge, or something else? Just so I can gauge how much free time I'm gonna need for this challenge :)

I want to be a sponsor, I can help people if I wanted to, and I can let them use a helpful item if they need it. I’ll stay as updated as I can with it to help out the participant.

I've been following this pretty closely and it seems like pretty good fun! I've always wanted to try doing a challenge alongside other(s), so what a fun way to do!

Added you all.

So while planning out the checkpoints, someone pointed out to me that 5 days after the first person reaches the checkpoint seems a bit excessive in terms of time. I reduced it down to 4 currently, but I want to hear you guys's thoughts on this.

Here's the current prototype checkpoint list in case anyone wants that as a reference.
