I thought we should have a place to post and discuss rental teams, either our own or ones we find and think others should be using.

When posting, try and include a picture and / or a paste, so we can see what's happening, especially if the team code gets taken down

Will try and link some below.

Some Series 6 Rental teams below:

https://victoryroadvgc.com/pokemon-sword-shield-rental-vgc-teams/ - is regularly updated to show the latest trends and teams in the meta.

- made 10 teams all of which have Rental Codes so you can try them out.

GMAX Lapras Team showcased on Pokes ports here

Played around with this this morning, I don't like the massive Fighting weakness (and the flimsiest resist to it) but kinda fun to play around with.

Won the first game I played, Lapras Judy swept, but misplayed the second against a hard trick room and gmaxed the Urshifu to get out of the Choice lock, instead of the correct play of sacking the Urshifu and gmaxing the Duraludon to beat their last two Conk and Hatterene. I thought Hat was going to Trick Room, and it was 4 Attack Weakness Policy instead.

GMAX Lapras Team showcased on Pokes ports here

I took my very first steps into Competitive Battling with this team today and it was so much fun! Won 3, lost 1 battle. Aurora Veil is so good and people (at least beginners like me) don't expect Lapras to GMax in the first turn. Nor do they expect Raichu to have Lightning Rod for some reason? (I'm guilty of that too, I used Lapras' Max Lightning with Raichu right next to it in the very first battle lol.) I lost the third battle because the person I was against ALSO had a GMax Lapras that was faster than this one (and also because I'm a newbie and he was super smart). Won the fourth because the opponent's Comfey used Trick Room for some reason despite my Lapras and Duralodon being obviously slower than his Scolipede??? Idk, much to learn for both of us, I guess. :P

Thank you @Anthrix for getting me into the world of competitive battling! :D It's really fun and not stressful like I had expected at all. And thanks for sharing the team!

Here's my team, which is currently 1 W 3 L, because I'm a numpty and made lots of bad plays. Like, a lot.

Wannabe Mono Water Team: 0000 0002 JVV7 CV

...Tentacruel does damage though, and Politoed is setting him up. It's just not always the best time to max him. Physical Kingdra is a bit of dead weight. Will post picture up tomorrow.

So I downloaded Sejun Park's Rank 1 team, with some normal VGC stalwarts in Arcanine, Urshifu, Amoongus...

... and Drimblim with Gust and Swords Dance Decidueye as its main sweepers. And he got to Rank 1 on the Doubles Ladder.

Export below (I got bored so I managed to reverse engineer his EVs, really wanted to know how his Arcanine was EV'd)

Makes me want to breed a Drifblim now!

Team works by using Shadow Sneak onto the Drifblim to proc the Weakness Policy & Unburden combo. Decidueye, thanks to its Grass typing, is IMMUNE to Rage Powder, and thanks to its Ghost typing, is immune to Fake Out, so the only way to stop the Weakness Policy from being proc'd is Follow Me, which is currently limited to Clefairy, Clefable, Togetic... or a priority Brave Bird from Talonflame, which won't OHKO thanks to the Coba Berry.

Everything else is somewhat standard? Apart from the Volt Tackle physical Raichu, with Brutal Swing as a second way of proccing the Weakness Policy, and Assault Vest Arcanine, which looks like it could do some damage.

I've been trying to find other 'mons to replace Weakness Policy Coalossal, and I guess he's found it before I did :P.

Found this Salazzle team, which was pretty neat. Credit goes to Fevzi and to Pokésports for sharing it on his channel!

Idea of the team is to combo Sweet Scent with inaccurate moves like Hypnosis and Dracozolt's Hustle, and as you don't have to dynamax Dracozolt, you can also bring Porygon-Z in the same team as well, so you can literally rip through things with two of the games best attackers.

The massive Ground weakness is scary, but otherwise its a nice team. Check out the video below as well!

I'll continue to post more :D.

Some are pretty whacky - I dunno if it's the new season, or the fact that actually really balanced and diverse, allowing some really niche picks to flourish.

Not seen one Amoonguss since running my team with 3 Amoonguss counters in the last 15 games or so, so might cut them back a bit...

This team is amazing - just won three games with it just by clicking Noivern + Rhyperior...

Credit goes to Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng for featuring the team on his channel, and a Japanese player for sharing it - I feel really bad but neither Aaron mentions him or the twitter link helps...

Some fun notes about this team:

- Life Orb Max Phantasm Shadow Ball + Choice Band Earthquake ALWAYS KOs Dusclops. The fast Defence drops are really cool, and just boost Rhyperior damage so much. It will win games on the first turn.

- Lightning Rod can be useful - was up against a Lapras and Jolteon as their last two Pokemon, and I ended up Max Guarding with Urshifu, baiting the Thunder from Jolteon, and then doing a ton of damage to Lapras, before bringing in Vanniluxe to clean up. This team requires to think big and play boldly, which is a lot of fun when you pull them off.

- It has a Vanniluxe, need I say more?
